Ingredients

  1. 400 gmsall purpose flour
  2. 250 gmsbutter room temp
  3. 250 gmssugar
  4. 125 mlbutter milk
  5. 2 pcseggs
  6. 11/4 tspbaking powder
  7. 1/8 tspbaking soda
  8. Essence of your choice

Steps

  1. 1

    Line your baking tin and pre-heqt the oven

  2. 2

    Sieve all dry ingredients together

  3. 3

    Cream butter and sugar until white or fluffy

  4. 4

    Add the eggs separately one by one

  5. 5

    Fold in the flour as you add the butter milk

  6. 6

    Pour the butter into the lined baking tin

  7. 7

    Tap the bottom sides to remove air that has been trapped in the batter

  8. 8

    Bake @180° until after inserted fork, toothpick or skewer comes out clean

  9. 9

    Wait for it to cool for 10min before removing from the baking tin
