I threw this together using what I had here. the kids liked it. I think it needed a little something more but not sure. it was good but not my best

pre heat oven to 350

add water to boil to another pot. start that going first to get it boiling for the mac n cheese. turn it up on high. try to get it close to boiling before you start the next two steps

pull or cut ham into pieces. put them in a skillet with a bit of pepper and some butter. turn it on to medium low. cover with lid.

open cans of peas and carrots. drain cans. add into a pot. add butter , pepper, season salt. turn on medium cover with a lid

cook these three stirring every so often.

shred the cheese unless you bought pre shredded. set aside

keep everything on low and covered until your mac and cheese is cooked, drained and mixed up like you normally make it

turn all burners off. get a casserole dish and mix everything together. if there is extra liquid from the butter drain as much as u can

as long as everything was kept warm enough pop this in the oven uncovered for 15 to 20 mins.

pull it out. sprinkle with shredded cheese. stick it back into the oven for just a few minutes. long enough to melt the cheese.

pull it out and serve
