Dice butter into 1/2 inch bits

Peel and Cut Bananas lengthwise into halves

Prepare and assemble Bananas Foster at table when ready to serve

Light an alcohol burner or table-top stove

Set a 12-inch copper flambe or crepe-suzette pan over flame

Arrange all ingredients beside pan

Place a scoop of ice cream on each of four chilled individual dessert plates and set to the side

Combine butter and brown sugar in pan and stir until the mixture becomes a smooth syrup

Add bananas and baste with the syrup for 3-4 minutes

Sprinkle in Cinnamon

Carefully pour in the banana liqueur and rum

Let liquors warm for a few seconds

Liquors may burst into flame spontaneously, but if not ignite them with a match

Slide the pan back & forth until the flames die, basting the bananas all the while

Place two banana halves around each scoop of ice cream

Spoon the sauce over the top and serve at once
