Made this in home ec class back in highschool. Had to make a dish from a list of approved products. This simple dish turned out to be the favorite of the class. Goes to show that simple is best in cooking.

Ingredients

15 mins
15 servings
  1. Bean Dip
  2. 2large cans of refride beans
  3. 16 ozblock of velvetta cheese
  4. 2diced jalopeno or serano peppers
  5. 2 tbsp of garlic powder
  6. 2 tbspof red pepper flakes
  7. 1 tbspof black pepper
  8. dashof salt
  9. 1Desired amount of favorite hot sauce
  10. 1Pepper jack cheese for topping
  11. 1scallions for topping
  12. Dippers, my two picks
  13. 1Favorite bag of tortilla chips
  14. 1Flour tortillas torn into 1-2 inch pieces

Cooking Instructions

15 mins
  1. 1

Cook beans in sauce pot until they start to bubble

  2. 2

Add in the garlic powder, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and salt

  3. 3

Cut velvetta into chunks and stir into beans until fully melted

  4. 4

Add in hot sauce (I use Spontanious Combustion, very very hot)

  5. 5

Transfer into a serving bowl and top with shredded pepper jack cheese and scallions

  6. 6

Enjoy with your favorite dippers. I use the tortilla chip scoops and tear up some flour tortillas for slap beans but this dip is so good you might just want to use a spoon.
