preheat oven to 350°F
- 2
sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper, then dredge in flour. Reserve about 1 Tablespoon of flour.

heat vegetable oil in a large, oven-safe pan over medium high heat.

brown pork chops on both sides, about 5 minutes on each side. Remove from pan and reserve on a plate.

reduce heat to medium and add butter and onions. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook until caramelized, about 20 minutes.

sprinkle remaining Tablespoon of flour over onions. Stir for 1 minute.

deglaze with sherry. Simmer until its almost evaporated.

add 1/2 envelope of soup mix and can of soup.

add back in pork chops and bring to a simmer. Cover and transfer to the oven.

bake 20-30 minutes to finish cooking pork chops.

remove from oven, place 1 slice of swiss cheese on each pork chop. Place back in oven on broil for 5 minutes until cheese is melted.

serve over mashed potatoes.
