My mum has made this since before forever, but now I'm the family's Chinese expert, so here's the recipe I've tweaked.

Boil water and cook rice. Drain it.

Add oil and heat on small. Whilst this is happening, beat the egg (optional)

Add egg and scramble, making sure it doesn't catch.

Once egg is cooked, add rice.

Stir and add soya sauce and salt (both to taste)
- 6
Can be served by itself, but goes wonderfully with Chinese chicken and noodles!
