Combine mince, onion, lemon juice, breadcrumbs, basil in a large mixing bowl.

Roll mince into golf ball sized balls.

Place balls in refrigerator for 15 minutes until firm.

Cut steak into squares and beat with hammer until soft.

Combine stock and tomatoes in a deep pan and bring to boil over medium heat.

Reduce heat to low and drop meat balls and steak into sauce and simmer uncovered for 2 hours.

Combine cooked pasta and meat sauce.
