Steps

Combine all braised meat ingredients in a pot and cover, boil on medium heat for 4-6 hours.

Strain the meat and set braising liquid aside

Shred the cooled meat

Mix the cheese sauce ingredients and set aside

Mix all tomato sauce ingredients in a pot, bring to a boil, the reduce to a simmer

Add the meat to the tomato sauce and simmer for 15 mins

As the sauce thickens add some braising liquid to add flavor and to thin it out.

Ladle 1/2 cup of sauce onto the bottom of the pan.

Lay one layer of pasta over the sauce.

Smear a thin layer of cheese sauce on top of the pasta.

Ladel a thin layer of tomato sauce over cheese sauce.

Reapeat steps 9-11 until done. The final layer should be tomato sauce.

Cover the top with 1/2 cup mozzarella and 1/2cup parmesan cheese.

Cover with foil and bake for 45-55 mins at 400°F or until bubbly.

Remove foil and bake uncovered for anothrr 10-15 mins, or until the top reaches your desired color.
