Ingredients

  1. 3/4 cupcocoa
  2. 1/2 tspbaking soda
  3. 2/3 cupunsalted butter, divided, melted
  4. 1/2 cupboiling water
  5. 2 cupgranulated sugar
  6. 2eggs
  7. 1 1/3 cupall-purpose flour
  8. 1 tspvanilla extract
  9. 1/4 tspsalt
  10. 1/2 cupchopped pecans (optional)
  11. 2 cupchocolate chips, semisweet

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. 2

    Add cocoa and baking soda in large bowl. Add half of melted better and boiling water and mix well.

  3. 3

    Then add sugar, eggs, and remaining butter and mix.

  4. 4

    Add flour, salt, and vanilla. Then chocolate chips and pecans (optional).

  5. 5

    Bake for 25-30 min. in 9x13in pan.
