Ingredients

5 servings
  1. 1 packageschicken breast
  2. 1 eachred, yellow, orange bell pepper
  3. 1 packagessliced almonds
  4. 1 largetomato
  5. 1 largeonion (Vadalia preferably, if in season)
  6. 1 1/2 cupFranks RedHot hot sauce (Not buffalo. You CAN use extra hot if you'd like)
  7. 1 stickUnsalted Sweet Cream Butter (You cannot use margarine)
  8. 1/4 cupDark Brown Sugar (optional)
  9. 2 tbsporegano
  10. 1/2 tspground ginger
  11. 1/4 tspsage
  12. 1salt and pepper to taste

Steps

  1. 1

    Cut chicken breast into long strips

  2. 2

    Melt butter in a saucepan

  3. 3

    Once butter is melted and simmering, add Frank's RedHot hot sauce and Brown Sugar (If applicable) in saucepan

  4. 4

    Once sauce is combined, simmer on low (This is to prevent the fat from the butter to solidify on top)

  5. 5

    Slice onion and bell peppers

  6. 6

    Roughly dice tomato

  7. 7

    In a large HOT skillet, toast almonds (Careful cause this is a quick process. Almonds will toast fast!)

  8. 8

    Reduce heat on skillet and sauteé onion til caramelized (They will turn soft and brown. This will bring out the natural sugars of the onion)

  9. 9

    Add half of the newly made buffalo sauce to almonds

  10. 10

    Add Chicken to skillet

  11. 11

    Add bell peppers

  12. 12

    Stir-fry til chicken is fully cooked

  13. 13

    Add tomato and simmer for 90 seconds

  14. 14

    Add remaining sauce to skillet

  15. 15

    Serve hot and enjoy
