a Brit living in Geneva, I have noticed the distinct lack of decent Indian restaurants, which we are so spoiled with in the UK. I had to come up with a decent home made curry, which is now tested a few times on myself and a few friends. Also recently started cooking vegetarian!

a Brit living in Geneva, I have noticed the distinct lack of decent Indian restaurants, which we are so spoiled with in the UK. I had to come up with a decent home made curry, which is now tested a few times on myself and a few friends. Also recently started cooking vegetarian!

finely chop onion and garlic and finely grate finger of ginger
- 2
heat oil in large pan and brown the onion. add the garlic, ginger, chilli and spices and brown for 2 minutes

rinse the split peas well and check for stones
- 4
add can if tomatoes, stock and split peas
- 5
leave to cook on a low heat for at least 45 minutes stirring occasionally
- 6
serve with naan and mango chutney
