Brown beef at high heat in non stick skillet with some olive oil. Sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper. Only sear quickly, not all sides completely, and remove before juice comes out.

Set meat aside in slow cooker or over safe pot

Cook onions in same pan as beef with a bit of oil

Chop onions finely then cook in same pan as beef with a bit of oil

Mix in paprika and marjoram with beef and onions

Add wine

Cook at low heat in slow cooker for 8-10h

Alternatively, use a large oven safe pot and cook for 8-10h at 175°F. Cover but leave a small gap so the pot is not shut tight.

When done, stir in sour cream and serve with a side of spaetzle or egg noodles.
