Steps

Beat egg yolks and caster sugar together until egg yolks are light yellow

Bring milk to the boil in a pot on the stove top

Once milk is boiling remove from heat and pour into egg mixture whilst beating
- 4
Pour mixture back into pot and and cook over low heat until mixture has thickened
- 5
Take off stove and leave to cool down

Once cool add cream, condense milk and vanilla essence.

Transfer into a container suitable for freezing and place in the freezer for around five hours
- 8
Makes around 600ml
