Adapted a recipe from www.joyfulabode.com. No high fructose corn syrup granola bars! Can add any kind of dried fruit, but my go-to is raisins. A very hearty granola bar recipe!

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 400°F
- 2
Crush peanuts
- 3
Mix peanuts, oats, wheat germ, and sunflower seeds in a baking dish with sides
- 4
Toast in oven for 10-12 minutes, stirring every few minutes to prevent burning.
- 5
Put brown sugar, honey, vanilla, and salt, into a saucepan and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
- 6
Add grains, glue, and dried fruit to a large bowl. Mix well!
- 7
Dump mixture into an 11x13 casserole dish (or similar) that has been pre-lined with parchment paper.
- 8
Spread mixture evenly and cover with another sheet of parchment paper.
- 9
Press down super hard! It helps to place a heavy weight on the paper such as a stack of books to compress the mixture real well, else they'll fall apart.
- 10
After 2-3 hours or until granola has completely cooled, remove granola by peeling back paper on a cutting board.
- 11
Cut by pressing down with a knife into appropriate sized bars.
- 12
Wrap in plastic wrap, vacuum seal, or in a container with parchment paper for storage and easy eating!

S'mores Granola Bars S'mores Granola Bars
Quaker has a S'mores flavored granola bar, which happens to be my daughters favorite flavor. I've been making granola bars lately for me to snack on, so I decided to see if I could recreate her favorite flavor. I might be biased, but I think these are way better and with a way shorter list of ingredients than the boxed variety. Christina -
My Favorite Granola Bars My Favorite Granola Bars
My daughter loves granola bars, so we usually have them in the house, but I have yet to find a flavor that I really love. So I decided to try my own mix of ingredients. That's the great thing about homemade granola bars. As long as you stick to the base recipe for the binder (the butter, honey and brown sugar) and the same amounts of ingredients, you can add pretty much whatever ingredients sound good to you at the time. These bars are just the right mix of salty and sweet and keep you filled up between meals. Or they make a good breakfast, served with some fresh fruit. Christina -
