Ingredients

2-3 servings
  1. 500 gminced beef
  2. 1/2 cupvegetable oil
  3. 2onions - sliced
  4. 3 clovesminced
  5. 400 gchopped tomatoes (or use 3 diced tomatoes)
  6. 1beef stock cube
  7. 2 tspginger and garlic paste
  8. 1 tspgaram masala powder
  9. 1 tspred chili powder
  10. 2 tspcumin
  11. 1/2 cupyoghurt
  12. 100 gfrozen peas (or fresh peeled if you prefer)
  13. 1/2 cupcoriander
  14. 2sliced green chilis

Steps

  1. 1

    Warm up the oil, and fry the onions until golden brown.

  2. 2

    Add minced garlic and cook for a minute.

  3. 3

    Add minced beef, tomatoes, ginger and garlic paste, garam masala, red chili powder, cumin and salt (to taste), beef stock and stir well. Simmer for 10-15 minutes on low heat.

  4. 4

    Once the water from the mince evaporates, add frozen peas and yoghurt, stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes.

  5. 5

    Finally, add coriander and green chilis and cook for 3-5 minutes.

  6. 6

    Serve with rice (brown, white, pilau or wild), OR with naan bread or chapati roti.
