Steps

Preheat oven 350°F. Grease and flour 9 x 13 inch pan.

Combine and sift: cocoa, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

In another bowl combine buttermilk and sauerkraut.

In a big bowl cream together butter, brown sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy beat in eggs

Alternate with flour mixture and sauerkraut mixture. I add about half flour mix, than half sauerkraut and mix until all are mixed in. Don't over mix, just until blended.

Pour into pan bake 350°F. for 45 minutes. Test doneness with toothpick, comes out clean. Frost with chocolate frosting
