Steps

Take mung dal, wash nicely and soak it for 15/20 minutes minimum.

Take flat bottom cooker, add oil, once hot add jeera,it sputters add finely chopped hara pyaaz and lehsan.

Let it cook for 2/3 minutes. Add tomatoes, salt, lal mirch powder, haldi powder and mix well.

Add dal to it and close the cooker. Allow 1 whistle on medium flame as mung dal cooks fast.

Mung dal is ready to serve
