Want an easy way to grill the perfect steak? As with any piece of beef for the grill, it starts with a good piece of meat. This is a New York Strip, 1 inch thick with medium marblization throughout.

Ingredients

  1. Salt and Pepper
  2. Olive oil

Cooking Instructions

    Age your steaks for a couple of days in the fridge. When ready to cook, hand rub with olive oil and salt and pepper lightly.

    Rub grill grates with peanut oil. (Stand up to high heat) Preheat grill to 400 degrees. Place steaks on grill for 3 minutes and 30 seconds. When timer goes off, quarter turn and cook another 3:30. Timer goes off, turn over for 3:30, then turn a quarter turn for the final 3:30. (Excellent grill marks) Remove and let rest for 5 minutes. Perfect medium rare.

    For rare use 3 minute intervals, For shoe leather, use 4 minute intervals.
