Ingredients

  • 1/2 tspsugar
  • 1 cupBeaten Rice
  • 50 gramspeanuts
  • 50 gramsgreenpeas
  • 2 tspvegetable oil
  • 1onion, chopped
  • 2 tspcoriander leaves, chopped
  • 1 tspgreen chilli, chopped
  • 1 smallCarrot, chopped
  • salt
  • 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  • 1/2 tspcumin
  • dashof lemon juice

Steps

  1. 1

    Place beaten rice in a strainer and run water through it for 2 min

  2. 2

    Press excess water off the beaten rice and mix with turmeric powder

  3. 3

    In a pan, heat oil and fry peanuts

  4. 4

    Add cumin, onion, green chilli, green peas, carrot, coriander leaves, salt, sugar and sauté for 5 min

  5. 5

    Add the beaten rice to pan and sauté for 5 min

  6. 6

    Add a dash of lemon juice, Serve hot
