My daughter asked for a sweet curry, I started with the apple ingredient, had no sultanas so I thought hoisin is sweeter so i added that and with a medium curry. It turned out lovely, a big hit with the family, and quick and easy too.#Curry #currucompetition

Ingredients

  1. 1 tbspButter
  2. 1medium onion, chopped
  3. 2 clovesGarlic crushed
  4. 3chicken breasts
  5. 2Apples peeled and chopped
  6. 1/2 tspTumeric
  7. 2 tspmedium curry powder
  8. 1/4 cupSweet Peas
  9. 1chicken stock cube
  10. 1 cupboiling water
  11. 2 tbsphoisin sauce
  12. 2 tbspdouble cream
  13. 1 tbsptomato paste

  1. 1

    In a fry pan melt butter, add chopped onions and fry until soft. Add garlic and fry for one minute add diced chicken. Fry for 5 mins or until chicken is coloured. Add the apple and stir in.

    Fry chicken on low add the turmeric and mix in then the curry powder mix and add the water stir in. Crumble the chicken stock in mix well and leave to simmer for 15 - 20 minutes, stirring to stop it sticking to pan.

  3. 3

    Add the hoisin, tomato paste, sweet frozen peas and simmer for 5 mins. If you would like it thicker, add 1 teaspoon of corn flour mixed in a little water to thicken, then serve.

Cookpad founder Member Ambassador, Also a Cookaholic.I love this Cookpad Site, Recipes, friends, interesting people and outstanding recipes, and able to see and to taste food from all over the world. i have learned so much more here, spices , herbs and lovely recipes of different cultures. also experimenting mixing different herbs and spices and making my own creations .I have cooked for my family since I was 14yrs, home from school as my Grandmother could no longer cook she was 91yrs, my Dad worked and there was only me so I learned quite quick and have always enjoyed it. I only started experimenting with herbs and spices and items I had never heard of before through joining Cookpad 2014 and I'm still learning new things. It is a passion of mine and I always invite my family around so I can create something new for them to try. my children grew up learning lots from me I have 3 daughters all with their own families and two Sons one who cooks for his family also my youngest son who is still at home with me,he comes up with some lovely meals and ideas so I'm proud of them all. 💜
