Ingredients

4 servings
  • 125 mlmayonnaise dressing
  • 25 gramschopped fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbspfinely chopped oil-cured black olives
  • 11 8 slices rustic whole grain bread (about 1/2-inch thick)
  • 1 smallzucchini, thinly sliced
  • 4 sliceprovolone cheese
  • 200 gramsroasted red peppers, drained and sliced

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine 65 ml Mayonnaise Dressing, basil with olives in small bowl.

  2. 2

    Evenly spread bread slices with mayonnaise mixture

  3. 3

    layer 4 bread slices with zucchini, provolone, peppers and bacon

  4. 4

    Top with remaining 4 bread slices.

  5. 5

    Spread remaining Mayonnaise on outside of sandwiches

  6. 6

    cook in 12-inch nonstick skillet or grill pan over medium heat, turning once, until sandwiches are golden brown and cheese is melted, about 4 minutes.
