Ingredients

  • 1 kg.mutton (fatless and cubed into medium size)
  • 750 gmonions chopped and grind wet
  • 250 gmginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbspcelonese cardamom powder
  • 1 tbspdry chilli powder
  • 1 tbspturmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1.1/2 tsp rose water
  • to tasteSalt and sugar
  • 1 tspBlack pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash the mutton pieces and marinate with all masala pastes and powders for 3-4 hrs

  2. 2

    In a deep based karai heat oil and add the marinated mutton.Keep on frying and stirring continually.

  3. 3

    When the smell turns strong add sugar salt and rose water.

  4. 4

    Remove from the flame and put the entire content into a pressure cooker. Pressure cook with sharp whistles for 20 mins

  5. 5

    Open the lid after the steam is absorbed. Dry up the gravy on a lower flame and serve hot sprinkling lime juice
