Ingredients

  1. Dry ingredients
  2. 1/4 tspmace
  3. 1 1/3 cupflour
  4. 1/2 tspsalt
  5. 1/4 tspcinnamon
  6. 1/4 tspcloves
  7. Wet ingredients
  8. 1egg
  9. 1/3 cupwarm water
  10. 2 tspbaking soda
  11. 1/2 cupmolasses
  12. 2 cupcranberries
  13. Sauce
  14. 1/3 cupbutter
  15. 3/4 cupWhite sugar
  16. 1 pintscream
  17. 1 tspvanilla

Steps

  1. 1

    Put all dry ingredients in bowl except soda.

  2. 2

    Combine beaten egg and water.

  3. 3

    Add soda to molasses and it will foam.

  4. 4

    Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients.

  5. 5

    Beat well.

  6. 6

    Fold in cranberries.

  7. 7

    Pour into pudding mold.

  8. 8

    Place on rack in Stock pot.

  9. 9

    Steam for 2 hours.

  10. 10

    Combine sauce ingredients in pot and heat.
