Ingredients

  • 1 lbground turkey
  • 2onions, diced
  • 1bell pepper, diced
  • 4 cloveminced garlic
  • 2 canchili beans
  • 2 candiced tomatoes
  • 2 cantomato sauce (10 oz each)
  • 2 tbspchili powder
  • 1 tspbasil
  • 1/4 tspblack pepper
  • 1shredded cheese
  • 1sour cream
  • 1 boxJiffy brand cornbread mix
  • 1egg
  • 1/3 cupmilk

Steps

30 mins
  1. 1

    In a large dutch oven, cook turkey, onion, bell pepper, and garlic until done.

  2. 2

    Add beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, basil, and pepper, combine well. Bring to a boil

  3. 3

    Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes.

  4. 4

    Meanwhile, cook cornbread according to package directions.

  5. 5

    Serve chili and cornbread with shredded cheese and sour cream on top.
