Quick and perfect for Lent, but with a different twist.

Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente, then remove from heat.

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and onion, and cook until golden. Stir in the sour cream.

If the sauce is too thick, add a little chicken broth or milk to reach your desired consistency.

Add the sliced mushrooms and let the mixture simmer for 3 minutes over medium heat, stirring well.

Taste and adjust salt and add pepper to your liking.

Add the drained pasta and mix well to combine.

Let it simmer for about 3 minutes, then turn off the heat. You can add your favorite grated cheese, such as Parmesan or provolone. Serve and enjoy.
