Grind together yogurt, mint leaves, coriander leaves, salt and ginger to a smooth paste.

Add water and mix well.

Place hot coal in a small steel bowl and place it in a chaas bowl. Place curry leaves, green chillies and cumin seeds over the coal and pour oil over them.

Cover the large bowl with an aluminium foil and keep for 5 minutes

Remove the foil, pour the chaas into serving glasses, and serve garnished with coriander leaves.
