A very simple vegetable preparation. This pairs well with rice and rasam. A very traditional dish cooked in Sri Madhwa Matas.

Steps

Heat 1 tsp oil. Roast the red chilli. Keep aside. Roast channadal, urad dal and coriander seeds together. Take care not to burn them. Keep aside. Roast the grated coconut for a while. Keep aside. After everything cools down, grind into a coarse powder.

Heat 2 tbsp oil. Splutter mustard. Add in asafoetida/hing powder.

Now add the chopped raw banana and turmeric powder.

Stir fry on high flame for 3 mins.

Add 1/4 cup water. Close and cook for 4 to 5 mins on lowest flame. (Raw Banana cooks easily)

Uncover and add the ground masala powder and salt.

Mix well.

Offer Raw Banana Stir Fry with Rice & Rasam to Lord Sri Krishna. Honor Krishna Prasadam.
