Chicken Manchurian

Chicken Manchurian is a famous Indo-Chinese dish with an adaptation of Chinese seasoning and Indian cooking techniques.This dish can be made with chicken mince fried into balls or boneless chicken cubes.This dish can be served with fried rice ,pan fried noodles or hakka noodles.This dish can be made dry or gravy by adding chicken stock accordingly.Batter fried chicken pieces in a ginger garlic and Chinese sauce based thick gravy are just one of the delicious things that goes to make Manchurian. Besides chicken , soya, paneer, baby corn, mushroom, cauliflower, mixed veg balls, prawns etc are equally delicious.

Marinate chicken pieces with little salt, black pepper, cornflour, garlic paste and the beaten egg. Fry the pieces in low flame till chicken is tender.In the remaining oil stir fry the chopped capsicum.Set aside.Fry the chopped green chillies and set aside.

In the remaining oil add the crushed ginger and garlic.Then add the cubed onion and fry till transparent.Now add soya sauce, chilli sauce and hot and sweet tomato sauce.Add little chicken stock, capsicum,salt to taste, ajinomoto, food colour and bring to boil.Dip the chicken pieces in the sauce and add little cornflour paste to thicken the gravy so that it coats the chicken.Garnish with fried green chillies, a handful of chopped spring onion and coriander leaves.
