Combine first 8 ingredients in bowl

Rub the mixture over both sides of
brisket - 3
Place in roasting pan and roast uncovered at 350 for 1 hour

Add the beef stock and enough water to reach 1/2 inch up the side of the
roasting pan - 5
Reduce the oven temp to 300

Cover the roasting pan tightly with heavy foil
- 7
Roast for 3 hours longer or until fork tender
- 8
Trim fat and slice thinly across the grain
- 9
Serve with pan juices or bbq sauce
