Ingredients

4to5hrs
4to5 servings
  • 8 piecesWhole chicken cut into
  • 4 tbspRed chilli powder
  • 2 tbspLemon juice
  • 70 gmButter for basting
  • The marinade
  • 250 gmHung Curd
  • 7 tbspCream
  • 3 tbspGinger and Garlic paste
  • 1 tbspCumin powder
  • 1/2 tbspGaram masala
  • 1 tbspSaffron
  • 1 pinchOrange food colour
  • Salt as per taste

Steps

4to5hrs
  1. 1

    Clean the chicken remove the skin

  2. 2

    Make a deep incisions on chicken

  3. 3

    Make a paste of salt,red chilli,lemon juice,

  4. 4

    Rub over the chicken evenly

  5. 5

    Keep aside for 15 minutes

  6. 6

    In a large bowl whisk the curd with remaining ingredients and mix well

  7. 7

    Rub the chicken with above mixture

  8. 8

    Let it rest for 4 hrs

  9. 9

    Put the chicken into a tandoor cook for 8to10 min

  10. 10

    Garnish with salad, mint chutney and lemon wedges
