I needed to cook some broccoli before it went bad but I didn't have any flour for a traditional cheese sauce. I made this and it tasted pretty good.

I needed to cook some broccoli before it went bad but I didn't have any flour for a traditional cheese sauce. I made this and it tasted pretty good.

Heat milk and butter in a sauce pan over medium-low heat.

Once it comes to a light simmer, add cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir constantly.

Once cheese has melted, salt to taste. This sauce goes well with cooked broccoli. It also tastes good on a hamburger. You can also drizzle it over breakfast hashbrowns. Make it your own!
