This is a nice seedy/nutty granola. Feel free to substitute as needed. People with nut allergies can leave them out entirely. This is fantastic with macadamia nuts if you have a little extra cash this month. : )

This is a nice seedy/nutty granola. Feel free to substitute as needed. People with nut allergies can leave them out entirely. This is fantastic with macadamia nuts if you have a little extra cash this month. : )

In large glass mixing bowl, place oil and honey and set aside.

Roughly chop almonds. Break up the pecans.

Small dried fruits like blueberries and cranberries need no special preparation. If using apricots or other larger fruits, snip them into smaller pieces.

Preheat oven to 300°.

Place bowl of honey and oil into microwave and heat briefly to thin out the honey. Approx 20 seconds.

Remove from microwave and stir in half the oats and all the nuts and seeds, coating well.

Add the rest of the oats and stir to coat all the oats. Lastly add in the fruits, lightly stirring.

Spread half the mixture onto a large cookie sheet with a generous lipped edge and place into heated oven. After ten minutes, scoop the edges toward the center and flatten it back out for further baking. Continue checking and stirring every five mins or so for 20 to 30 mins.

When granola is sufficiently browned, remove and set aside to cool. You may now do the second half of the batch while the first is cooling.

When thoroughly cooled, place into large storage container with a tight lid.
