Boil the eggs and keep aside

Heat the oil in a pan

Put in the onions and fry it till they are just about translucent. Do not deep fry the onion.

When the onion is ready, put in a little water and the smashed garlic cloves.

Add the tomato puree.

Add the turmeric and chilli powder along with salt and sugar.

You can also add a little garam masala here if you want to (optional)

Stir it for about two minutes to blend the masala and then add the eggs

Once the masala is blended, add about 300 ml of water and cover the pan with a lid.

Stir occasionally until the gravy is a little thick.

Serve.
