Preheat the oven to 180 The Celsius

Mix all the ingredients of the cake from Raw till butter

If the batter is too thick add little milk. But make sure the batter is pretty stiff

Spread this batter in a greased pan

Spread the almond slices on top and bake the Basbusa for 35 to 40 mins or till the edges are golden

Meanwhile make the syrup

Take the water and add the sugar

When the sugar is melted and cooked for 5 mins add the lemon juice and rose water. Remove from heat

Let it cool

When the cake is done remove from the oven and pour the syrup when the Basbusa is still hot
