Ingredients

2 sticksbutter softened
1 cupfirmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cupsugar
2egg
1 tspvanilla extract
1 1/2 cupsflour
2 tspbaking powder
1 tspcinnamon
1/2 tspsalt
3 cupsplain oats ( quaker oats )
1 cupraisins or more if you like

Preheat oven to 350°

Mix all dry ingredients together and set aside. Beat together butter, sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.

Add eggs and vanilla beat on medium speed until well blended.

Slowly add in the dry ingredients and mix well.

Using rubber spatula fold in 3 cups of oats as well as the raisins.

Drop rounded tablespoon fulls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes. Makes about 4-6 dozen depending on how big you want the cookies.

I have an old Cannoli recipe, Italian wedding cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, to cakes, cupcakes, and pastries. Every once in awhile I'll throw in a dinner recipe like my Dad's ham and cheese meatloaf yummy!

I just finished making (and sampling of course) Jamie Fay-Wald's vanishing oatmeal cookies and I have to say they are delicious and I will continue to use that recipe thank you so much Jamie!
