This is an authentic cusine of Bengal and a typical Bengali way of preparing sweet chana daal being served with luchi( puri).
Steps

Wash and soak the chana daal at least 30 minutes before cooking and pressure cook it

Heat a pan add oil and temper the whole jeera seeds, bay leaf and red chilli
- 3
Add the jeera dhaniya powder,salt and turmeric powder saute well
- 4
Add red chilli Powder and ginger paste saute well adding nuts and raisins
- 5
Pour the boiled daal and mix well adding sugar, allow it to boil
- 6
In another pan add ghee fry the tomato cubes,dry red chilli and coconut pieces adding salt and turmeric powder
- 7
Add this to the daal and switch off the flame
- 8
Mishti cholar daal is ready to be served with luchi
