Well, it's Asian Noodle week here in the O'Brien Shire. It's also Friday so that means my fiesty culinary students can create anything their little hearts care to. Hence the Options Section submitted from other students. Anyway, I loved this sassy noodle garlic version! Excellent work kiddos!

Ingredients

  1. ● For The Noodle Options [size of a quarter in hand per serving]
  2. Udon Noodles
  3. Canton Noodles
  4. Egg Noodles
  5. Ramen Noodles
  6. Buckwheat Noodles
  7. Kan-To Noodles
  8. Fettuccine Noodles
  9. Linguine Noodles
  10. Spaghetti Noodles
  11. ● For The Mushrooms
  12. 1/2 CupThin Sliced Dried Shiitake Mushrooms
  13. 1/4 CupSmall Dried Button Mushrooms
  14. ● For The Garlic Sauce Mixture
  15. 1/2 CupGarlic Mixture [see my recent recipie]
  16. 1/4 CupSalted Butter
  17. 1 tbspHousin Sauce
  18. 1 tbspOyster Sauce
  19. 1 tspQuality Fish Sauce
  20. 2 tbspSoy Sauce
  21. ● For The Vegetables Seasonings & Herbs [all added last]
  22. 1/3 CupFresh Cilantro [+ reserves for garnish ]
  23. 1 tspDried Thai Basil
  24. 1/4 CupFresh Chopped Green Onions
  25. 1/2 tspFresh Ground Black Pepper
  26. to tasteToasted Sesame Seeds
  27. ● For The Options [to taste or as needed]
  28. Fresh Grated Ginger
  29. Sesame Seeds
  30. Crispy Super Thin Sliced Cabbage
  31. Dried Thai Chilies
  32. Various Seafoods
  33. Garlic Olive Oil

Cooking Instructions

15 Minutes
  1. 1

    Here's what you'll need in steps one and two. Various noodles pictured. Choose a heavier weight noodle. Avoid noodles such as rice noodles.

    Cilantro, fresh black pepper and dried Thai Basil pictured.

  3. 3

    Place your mushrooms in a boiling pot with a good dash of salt and a splash of olive oil. Don't worry if your water turns a bit brown. Simmer on high for 5 minutes.Then add your noodles. Then add your noodles. Boil as per manufactures directions.

    Drain and place back in pot immediately.

    Add your garlic mixture and butter and mix well quickly.

  6. 6

    Add everything else to your pot, mix well and cover tightly for 5 minutes.

  7. 7

    Garnish with cilantro leaves and top with toasted sesame seeds. Drizzle top with garlic olive oil. Serve with additional soy and fish sauce. Enjoy!
