Cook time about two and a half hours. You can speed up cook time by cooking the mushrooms and onions in a pan prior to putting them in the sauce. This sauce is not a sweet sauce. I make alot so i can freeze the rest being a basball mom i need stuff to just thaw and heat up. Even better the second day.

Ingredients

  1. 2containers fresh baby portabella mushrooms, quartered
  2. 1 lbItalian sausage
  3. 2 teaspoonsmajoram
  4. 2 cans (6 oz)each) tomato paste
  5. 1 lbground beef
  6. to tastesalt and pepper
  7. 4 clovesgarlic chopped
  8. 4 teaspoonsbasil
  9. 1medium onion, diced
  10. 2 cans (24 oz)each) diced tomatoes

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Put tomatoes, tomato paste, onion, garlic, basil, majoram, and mushrooms in a large pot on high heat till boiling the turn down to low.

    While sauce is cooking, brown ground beef and itailian sausage in a separate pan

  3. 3

    Once meat is fully cooked mix into sauce and let simmer for an hour and a half. Stirring every 10-15 mins

    If you want to cut the cook time in half cook down the mushrooms and onions in a separate pan before putting them in the sauce.

    P.s. its always good to have glass of wine while cooking :)
