Ingredients

  1. 1/2 kgchicken, with bones
  2. 2 tbspmaida/ all purpose flour
  3. 1 tbspcornstarch/cornflour
  4. 1 tbspred chilli powder
  5. 1 tbspginger garlic paste
  6. 1eggs
  7. 1/2 tbspcumin powder
  8. 2 tspgaram masala
  9. 1 tspcoriander powder
  10. 2 tbsplemon juice
  11. 3green chilies, finely chopped
  12. 1/4 tspred food colour, optional
  13. to tasteSalt
  14. As neededOil for deep frying

Steps

  1. 1

    In a bowl, whisk together all the ingredients. Add little water if the batter is too thick. Marinate the chicken pieces with the spice batter and mix to coat well. Leave it for 3-4 hours or overnight. Heat oil in a deep bottomed vessel. Once the oil is heated, add the chicken pieces, making sure not to overcrowd them. Fry for 3-4 mins turning the pieces occasionally. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with a few lime wedges & onions rings.
