Ingredients

  1. 500 mlMilk -
  2. 1/4 cupAlmond / badam paste -
  3. 1/4 cupBasmati rice paste -
  4. Saffron strand - a pinch
  5. 2 tbspSugar -
  6. 1 pinchGreen cardamom powder -
  7. 4-5 dropsKevra essence -
  8. 1 tspRaisins -
  9. Silver vark for garnishing

Steps

30 mins
  1. 1

    Soak 15 - 20 almonds for 2 - 3 hours.

  2. 2

    Remove the skin and make a paste.

  3. 3

    Soak rice for one hour and make a paste.

  4. 4

    Boil milk in a heavy bottom vessel.

  5. 5

    Add saffron strand,cardamom powder and sugar and boil for five mins.

  6. 6

    Add almond paste and rice paste and mix well.

  7. 7

    Stir continuously for thickening the milk.

  8. 8

    Add kevra essence and mix well.

  9. 9

    Garnish with silver vark,raisins and almonds andserve chilled
