Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsrice
  2. 1 cuppeas
  3. 1onion sliced
  4. 1tomato chopped
  5. to tasteSalt
  6. 4 tbspoil
  7. 4 cupswater
  8. 1 tspgaram masala powder
  9. 1 tsp Whole garam masala( cloves,black pepper, cardamom, bayleaf,cumin seeds and cinnamon
  10. 1 tsp cashewnuts for garnishing

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and strain the rice

  2. 2

    Wash the peas too and keep aside

  3. 3

    Heat oil in pan add sliced onions,fry till translucent

  4. 4

    Add the whole garam masala stir till onions turn a bit golden

  5. 5

    Add the peas cook for few mins

  6. 6

    Add the chopped tomatoes fry till they are soft and mushy

  7. 7

    Add 4 cups water and give it a boil,add rice,salt and garam masala powder

  8. 8

    Cook till rice is done

  9. 9

    While serving garnish with cashewnuts
