Ginger Garlic Asian Drumsticks
Just an easy, tasty, cheap protein. All made in a skillet! You can adjust the heat and sweetness for adults or kids.
Steps
- 1
Dry off your drumsticks
- 2
Add a couple slits to each side of each drumstick
- 3
Put oil in a skillet set to medium heat. Once hot, add drumsticks.
- 4
Allow to brown then turn over to brown the other side.
- 5
While the chicken is Browning clean your ginger
- 6
Chop, grate, slice or dice your ginger and garlic
- 7
Add the oil for the sauce (sesame is the boss if you have it) soy sauce, sweetner, hot sauce and mix. Add ginger and garlic and stir.
- 8
When your chicken is browned, grind some black pepper over the chicken.
- 9
Then pour the sauce over the chicken. Flip it over a few times. Turn heat down to medium low.
- 10
I like to cover the skillet to give the chicken time to finish without burning the sauce
- 11
About every 3 minutes, flip the chicken so each side gets sauce.
- 12
Recover skillet, and keep this flip and cook until chicken is cooked through. About 9-12 minutes.
