Peel and shred potatoes (can boil and mash cook only 10 minutes).

Mix in large bowl milk, butter, baking powder, all cheese, onions, add flour to make pancake like batter. Add jalapeno if using.

Add potatoes to batter mixture and mix with hand mixer until well mixed .

In a large fry pan coat bottom with oil, heat pan medium hot.

Using a large spoon scoop up potato mixture and put in pan, into patties, somewhat flatten patties in pan, let fry 3 minutes to brown, turn over and flatten again, let pattie brown. Serve with sour cream on side.
