Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupYellow moong dal/split
  2. 1 cupFinely chopped spinach
  3. 1/4 tspTurmeric powder
  4. 1/4 tspRed chilli powder
  5. 1/2 tspCumin seeds powder
  6. to tasteSalt
  7. 1 tbspOil
  8. 1 tbspClarified butter/ghee -
  9. 1/2 tspCumin seeds
  10. 5 clovesFinely chopped garlic

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash moong dal/split and add in the pressure cooker with three cup of water.

  2. 2

    When cooker release the whistle sim the flame for five mins.

  3. 3

    Once cooled,mix the dal.

  4. 4

    Heat clarified butter in a pan

  5. 5

    Add spinach leaves,turmeric powder,red chilli powder,cumin seeds powder and salt and mix well.

  6. 6

    Cook spinach in slow flame for five mins

  7. 7

    Add ready moong dal in the pan and mix well.

  8. 8

    Add moong dal in the service bowl and tempered.

  9. 9

    Heat clarified butter in a pan.

  10. 10

    Add cumin seeds and garlic cloves fry till dark brown.

  11. 11

    Tempered the dal,serve hot.
