Ingredients

8 servings
  1. 1 poundground beef
  2. 1 poundground pork
  3. 4medium onions, chopped
  4. 6garlic cloves, minced
  5. 2 cans (16 ounces)each) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  6. 1 (28 oz)can crushed tomatoes
  7. 1/4 cupwhite vinegar
  8. 1/4 cupbaking cocoa
  9. 2 tablespoonschili powder
  10. 2 tablespoonsWorcestershire sauce
  11. 4 teaspoonsground cinnamon
  12. 3 teaspoonsdried oregano
  13. 2 teaspoonsground cumin
  14. 2 teaspoonsground allspice
  15. 2 teaspoonshot pepper sauce
  16. 3bay leaves
  17. 1 teaspoonsugar
  18. to tasteSalt and pepper
  19. Hot cooked spaghetti
  20. Shredded cheddar cheese
  21. Sour Cream
  22. Chopped tomatoes
  23. Chopped Green Onions

Steps

  1. 1

    In a Dutch oven, cook beef, pork and onions over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Drain

  2. 2

    Add the beans, tomatoes, vinegar, cocoa and seasonings; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for one and a half hours or until heated through.

  3. 3

    Discard bay leaves. Serve with spaghetti. Garnish with cheese, sour cream, tomatoes and onions.
