Simple steamed vanilla cake

Lol I know you're probably wondering, steamed? Yup! Steamed.
You'll need either a glass dish with a cover, or a plastic plate/bowl with a cover too. You'll also need a pot big enough to contain your dish/plate.
Ps: Always read through a new recipe before trying it out.

Lol I know you're probably wondering, steamed? Yup! Steamed.

Steps

Add enough water to cover base of the pot & plate/dish to the pot, & place on heat to boil. Sift flour & baking powder together, add sugar & salt, & whisk together.

Add eggs, milk, & oil to flour mixture & mix thoroughly. Add vanilla & mix till well incorporated.

Grease dish/plate lightly with oil or butter, & pour batter into it. Place in the pot, cover & allow to steam for 45 minutes.

Remember to check from time to time & top up water if need be.

The cake is done once a skewer inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean, or the cake springs back when touched.
