Ingredients

  1. For litti
  2. 1 cupWheat flour -
  3. 50 gmsSuji/semolina -
  4. 1 pinchCarom seeds -
  5. 1 pinchOnion seeds -
  6. 1/4 tspBaking powder -
  7. 1/4 tspTurmeric powder -
  8. to tasteSalt -
  9. 1 tbspOil -
  10. 1 cupClarified butter -
  11. For stuffing
  12. 100 gmsRoasted gram flour/sattu -
  13. 2 tbspFinely chopped onion -
  14. 1/4 tspFinely chopped green chilli -
  15. 1/2 tspFinely chopped garlic cloves -
  16. 1 tbspMustard oil -
  17. to tasteSalt -
  18. 1 tspLemon juice -
  19. 1 tbspChopped coriander leaves -
  20. 4 tbspWater -
  21. For chokha
  22. 1Bharta baingan large
  23. 1Tomato -
  24. 1Chopped onion -
  25. 2Chopped green chily -
  26. 3 - 4Chopped garlic cloves -
  27. to tasteSalt -
  28. 1 tbspChopped coriander leaves

Steps

  1. 1

    For littiTake a large bowl add wheat flour,semolina,baking powder,carom seeds,onion seeds,salt,turmeric powder and oil and mix well.

    Make a stiff dough with the help of water.

  3. 3

    The texture should be crumbly keep aside for 30 mins.

  4. 4

    Take a large bowl add above listed stuffing ingredients and mix well.

  5. 5

    Now stuffing is ready.

  6. 6

    Divide the dough into equal size balls.

  7. 7

    Stuff the filling in the dough.

  8. 8

    Wrap up the dough pieces and close from all sides.

  9. 9

    Preheat oven for 10 mins. in 250,c

  10. 10

    Grease oven wire with oil.

  11. 11

    Place the bati in preheated oven for 5 mins.

  12. 12

    Flip it over till brown.

  13. 13

    Deep in the clarified butter and serve hot. with baingan bharta

    For baingan bharta

  15. 15

    Wash and clean the baingan

  16. 16

    Stalk trimmed and partially slit into quarters and prick the baingan

  17. 17

    Now keep in the microwave safe bowl

  18. 18

    Microwave baingan for six mins and tomato for 3 mins

  19. 19

    Cool down for some time,remove the skin of the baingan and tomato and mash it

  20. 20

    Add green chilli,garlic cloves,coriander leaves,salt and finely chopped onion in the mashed baingan tomato and mix well.

    Garnish with coriander leaves
