Chop the onion finely, mince the garlic and green chilies into a paste. Heat the oil and cook the onions, garlic and green chilies until they soften. Add the turmeric and salt. (If you have lasan ni chutney (homemade garlic chutney) you can add some to the mixture.

Add the leftover khichedi and cook until nice and piping hot. Garnish it with some fresh green chillies or coriander and serve it hot with a cool yogurt raita.
