Cut the bread slices and dry grind them into a fine powder/ bread crumbs

Place the bread crumbs in a bowl and add the flours

Add salt to taste, water and buttermilk
- 4
Mix all the ingredients well and let it rest while we make the tempering

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a tadka pan and add the mustard and cumin seeds

After they splutter,add onions and chillies

After a minute, add the tempering into the bread batter

Mix well and heat 1 tablespoon oil on a non stick pan

Pour a laddful of the batter in the center of the pan and gently spread it to the size of a normal utaapam

Cook on Low heat till both sides are crisp and slightly brown

Prepare the remaining utaapams similiarly

Serve immediately accompanied by your favourite chutnies/sambhar
