Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 1 cupLeftover dal
  2. 1/2 teaspoonCarom seeds
  3. as neededWater
  4. 1 cupWheat flour
  5. To tasteSalt
  6. as neededOil
  7. 4-5Curry leaves
  8. 2Dry red chilli
  9. 1 teaspoonCumin seeds

Steps

  1. 1

    Take wheat flour in a bowl and add carom seeds and salt in it.

  2. 2

    Knead a smooth dough and allow it to rest for 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Meanwhile heat a wok and add leftover dal and 1 cup water.

  4. 4

    After 10 minutes Knead the dough again for a minute.

  5. 5

    Make small dhoklies with hands.

  6. 6

    Once dal comes to boil add dhoklies in it and simmer it on medium flame. Stirring occasionally.

  7. 7

    Keep checking in between. When the dhoklies are cooked switch off the flame.

  8. 8

    Now heat a tadka pan and add oil in it.

  9. 9

    When oil is hot add cumin seeds, curry leaves and dry red chilli in it and prepare tadka.

  10. 10

    Add this tadka in dal dhokli.

  11. 11

    Your super yumm dal dhokli from leftover dal is ready to eat.
